Bridge Lighting To Be Installed

When the Market Street Bridge re-opens, drivers crossing the span at night will have greater visibility, thanks to the many new lights being installed along its cables, trusses and towers, said state highway officials.

Crews have begun installing a "necklace" of 146 lights along the cables, said Joe Juszczak, the state Division of Highways' supervisor for the project. The line of lights is connected to each of the span's vertical suspender cables and is among many that will be added before the span is re-opened on Nov. 30.

Many of the lights will be of the light-emitting diode type, which are known for their long lives and as a result,Has anyone had any experience with this led light bulbs light? energy efficiency,OceanLED is by MJ-808 far the most popular and most widely distributed marine lighting brand in the world he said. For example, LED lights will be installed on the span's top truss to aid vehicles crossing it at night and as the 30 floodlights for each of the span's towers.

Juszczak said there also will be continuous lighting along the pedestrian walk, which has undergone repairs during the $13.7 million project. Some local officials had suggested better lighting for the span while petitioning for renovations to it before the project was launched with state and federal money, including $10 million in economic stimulus funds.

Juszczak said the project's cost has increased about $400,000 because four steel posts between the truss and towers have to be replaced. The work also has delayed the bridge's re-opening, originally slated for Oct.9 Dec 2010 – What would the perfect fluorescent lights be?1200LM Bicycle light,LED flashlight,LED headlamp, hid, bike light, bicycle light 28, but crews hope to re-open the span in mid-November, a couple of weeks before the official deadline.

The project has included repairs to the 105-year-old bridge's towers, Ohio approach spans and trusses, replacing its mobile inspection platforms and lowering its clearance by a foot to prevent overweight vehicles from violating the 5-ton weight limit.

The bridge also has been painted blue and gold, colors favored by 14,543 who cast votes in an online and write-in poll conducted by the state Department of Transportation. Juszczak said the painting is largely completed, with some touchup needed where brackets and cables for the tarps used to contain the area were in place.

Ahern & Associates of South Charleston is the contractor for the project, with Panthera Painting of Canonsburg, Pa., and Bayliss & Ramey of Dunbar, W.Va., involved in the painting and lighting aspects, respectively.LED マジコン 購入 Flashlights Photographers LED Flashlights Tactical Flashlights Waterproof Cameras ecommerce, open source, shop, online shopping.
