YLighting Launches Metalarte, an Exclusive Lighting Collection from Spain

YLighting announces the launch of an exclusive lighting collection from Metalarte. The collection, which is made in Barcelona, Spain, includes modern pendant lights, chandeliers, wall sconces, ceiling lights, table and floor lamps and outdoor lighting. YLighting is the only online retailer in the United States to sell Metalarte.

Metalarte, whose origins trace back to 1932, produces traditional and avant-garde lighting. This world-renowned global company began in a simple metalworking shop at Madrazo Street in Barcelona, Spain, where its founder, Antonio Riera, had a unique passion for bright, appropriate lighting-something unusual in a country that used 125 volts until the beginning of the 1960s.

Today Metalarte combines a pride about its pioneer past and its new state-of-the-art factory and manufacturing abilities. In the past year, Metalarte has released several new designs, including:

Copacabana collection designed by Jaime Haydon. The Copacabana collection includes a modern pendant light, chandelier, wall light and floor lamp. The collection's diffuser-made of porcelain and available in black, white or copper-gives these lamps their unique personality.

Mate Floor Lamp designed by Geert Koster. Mate is an indoor/outdoor modern floor lamp that has a simple modern structure made from white metal and a translucent polyethylene diffuser. Mate's 118 inch cord means you can move it easily throughout your outdoor space. The cord can be neatly wrapped onto the "hook" on the base of the lamp.

Frida Out Floor Lamp designed by Serraydelarocha. Frida is an indoor/outdoor floor lamp formed by using two polyethylene cones in white. Each cone houses its own light source and can be independently switched on and off. Frida is available in a compact fluorescent or compact fluorescent and LED version.

Tanuki GR Pendant Light light designed by Itamar Burnstein. Made with a spun-aluminum shade, the Tanuki GR Pendant provides direct and indirect ambient illumination. The clever shade moves vertically to direct the light up or down.
